Is it possible to write on a DVD+R twice?

I have written once onto my DVD+R but there is still some space left from the 4.7GB total. Is it possible for me write some other stuff on this space thats left?

  1. only if the disk is dvd+rw

    only re writable disks can be erased and re-used

    and yes you can write a multisession disk but they usually corrupt so it's not really advisable...


  2. It depends on how you burnt it.  Some programs have the option to "close" it.  If you don't then you can't write to it any more.  It also depends on if it is re-recordable or not.  

  3. If you have used sessions while writing files into DVD+R, then you can write it once again., till the disk is full. During burning, using sessions, the burner stops at the place where the file ended and saves the rest of the space for the next session, unlike without sessions, the burner burns the whole DVD.

  4. There is an option to 'finalise'. If you finalised it then no you can't.

    If you didn't finalise it then you can.


  5. if you have burnt that dvd+r disk with multisession option enable then you can carry on writing another session or more data. but if you burnt the dvd with finalize option then you cant do. bcoz the recorder does not leave option to write in next session and burn the whole disk
