Is it practical for someone to live at T.J and work in San Diego?

Is it convenient to cross the borders twice a day?

And how crowded is the border on average? Specially at rush hours.

I heard that you can save tons of cash living this way, is it true?

I have heard of people doing it.  If you take public transportation and cross on foot, it shouldn't take too long.  But I wouldn't want to do it, especially these days with all the extra security.
