Via FedEx/UPS/DHL from U.S. to the Philippines? I'm still in the U.S. and I'm not yet sure if I will pursue Masters at this point because Im waiting to see if I get accepted to a pilot cadet program in the Philippines. Is there another sure way this things gets to the right people, fly myself to the country with documents on me and personally deliver them? I just want to avoid costly round trips to get those letter of recommendations then go back to the Philippines if I find I was not accepted to the cadet program then I will be applying for Masters from a university.

Additional Details

Btw, Masters is in the country of Philippines. If things don't work out with the cadet program in Philippines, I will pursue this.

  1. i tried FedEx. no problems so far, quite expensive though.

but before you have it sent, ask whoever would be sending it to photocopy or have it scanned first then send it to your email add.

still, you could ask for another copy next time..

  2. I agree with the first two answers.  Just make sure that you send your documents to a specific person or a least a specific position like Dean of Admissions, University  or College of _______________ .

But to further save money, use the US Postal Service.  They have an international express mail service ( EMS ) thats cheaper and reliable.

In the Philippines, EMS mail are handled by the EMS office of Phippine Postal Corporation ( Phil Post ).  They treat documents sent via EMS as registered mail.

    Have a nice day !

  3. ...of course it's more practical to send these documents (they are authenticated photo copies anyway) than to hand carry them with you.  the carriers you mentioned are all reliable couriers and you can be sure they will be received by the right parties.

good luck with the cadet program and/or the master's.

  4. Absolutely practical. Courier will be the best way. Take the person's contact info and if you want you can check the signature receipt box if needed. Get the quotes for Fedex & DHL, If not, I believe there's a door to door service that does it too. I agree with the expenses. It's a few bucks to send not hundreds to spend right?

  5. Is it acceptable to scan the documents and email it?
