Question:

Is it practical to use solar panels and batteries to run an HHO gas powered car?

I have just purchased an HHO generator which I intend to put on a Tercel. If I put Photovoltaic panels on the roof of the car, and a deep cycle battery in the trunk with a plug-in charger, would it be realistically possible to make a sort of "Home made Hybrid?" Is there a limit to the ratio of HHo to gasoline that I can burn without damaging the valves, etcetera? Anyone out there trying to do something along these lines?

  1. Electrolysis's will drain the battery very quickly. The power from the solar cels that size  is not enough to do anything. To even have a small amount of power from the panels it should be about 400 sq. ft. The size of your battery would be large enough that U would need a trailor to haul it..

  2. I have looked at the designs and see no way you can provide a predictable ratio of HHO  to gasoline or diesel.

As best I can guess, HHO is at best acting to improve your ability to run the car extra lean, which is where any improved fuel economy will come from. Adding extra HHO will not likely accomplish anything if that is so.

No auto manufacturer is extending warranty for users of HHO.

  3. No it isn't practical.

You will damage your engine if you follow the instructions to lean the fuel air mix (which is where they get all their fuel saving from).

So you burn up a $5,000 engine to save a few dollars in fuel.

HHO is a con and I can PROVE it.

  4. Then you wasted your money.  HHO is just a scam that does nothing to help your fuel economy.
