Looking at going into child care centre business...wonder if it is worth the while. Any idea the profit per month if it is located at a void deck, rent a bungalow or within an office building.

  1. Research it carefully because there are a lot of laws you will need to comply with - not just those directly related to child care, but laws/regulations on food safety and preparation. You're also going to need to deal with things like payroll and insurance. You're going to have to know about conducting background checks. In fact, you could almost use a full time administrative person.

As for cost/profit, that's going to depend on your overhead and what you charge. The number of employees you have is going to be dictated by the number of kids you plan to take. What you charge is going to be dictated by your rent, payroll, and other expenses.

If you're mainly interested in the child care aspect, you might want to think about just getting licensed for in home child care where you can take 4-6 kids (depending on local laws and regulations) and you don't have to deal with all the other expenses and administrative hassles.

My ex-wife did in home child care for a while before we split up so I know a little about what's involved.
