Question:

Is it proper for a business employee to visit your home?

I placed an order for a $500 bicycle around the corner from my parents place. I used a check and showed him my ID. I asked him to deliver the bike to my parents house. The next day, the "owner" arrived at my parent's multimillion dollar estate and said "I was acting nervous", and he wanted to make sure my check was good.

So I was completely disrespected, by a weird, business owner. I filed a complaint with the BBB. I'm also considering going to the store, telling the owner to give back my check thats going to "bounce"...laugh at the guy for a couple minutes, then leave. What would you do?

  1. Let it go.

You probably remind him of someone who he had a sour deal with.

Not really his fault. Not really your fault.

Although if you're still pissed off, you do deserve an apology. Kindly tell him,-- I found it strange that you went to my parents and asked if my check was good. I am very proud about the money that I make. I'm offended that you'd even question if my check was bad. I'd like an apology.

I know that you won't do this. You seem much too insecure, and young, worrying about disrespect over something trivial like a check and a bike. But I gave you my advice on acting civil, and really, that's just about me feeling good.
