  1. It's adorable.  I send cards to my grandsons all the time and always address them to "Master Mathieu" and "Master Brendan".  And we live in the US


  2. In the United States it would be unusual unless you're from a family who normally uses such formal manners. It sounds pretentious, actually.

    I have no idea if it's a proper closing in other countries, though.

  5. Depends on where you live. In the UK, or anywhere in the Empire, that's the correct term of address for a young male. Anywhere else, it may verge on overcute.

  6. As kids, my Nana insisted that we always send thank you notes via mail.  My mom had my brother sign and put "Master Barrett" on the return address as well.  Something about my brother not being the 'Mister' of the house , but being the young 'Master' of the house.  Safe bet it's proper!
