The lilac feels a little to spring but it is her favorite color. Would this be a major faux pas or do you think my guests wil understand?

  1. That would be beautiful. If she likes it, that is all that matters. I don't think guests will comment on the color coordinating with the month, and if they do, they shouldn't be thought of as good friends.

Do what you and her want. :)

  2. Proper?  There's no etiquette per se, but you're right--lilac 'says' spring.

What I'D do is temper the lilac with darker shades like purple.   My favorite color combination is most any shade of purple with most any shade of green so do think about adding some med-to-dark green things to highlight the light lavender/lilac color & balance out the light-to-dark ambience.

  3. I would go with periwinkle or a lighter shade of purple

  4. if it her favorite then use it.....................

you could always  have lilac coloured flowere on the table   seet peas or  fressia with white baby's breath and baby roses .................. summer flowers   and her favorite colour

  5. Go ahead. As soon as the guest find out its her favorite flower.. they will be in total acceptance of it.
