Why do restaurants always undercook beans? They are so tough I can hardly chew them. Is it okay to ask them to cook them more?

  1. It's always okay to tell the waiter that something is not cooked, is overcooked, or just doesn't taste right.  That is good feedback for the kitchen.  Just be polite about it, and don't withhold on the tip because the kitchen didn't deliver if the service was still good from your waiter.

  2. As a waitress, I can tell you its fine if you are unhappy with your food, whatever the problem may be.  I have worked in LOTS of restaurants and I have never seen anyone do anything foul to food that has been returned for whatever reason.  The reason that they undercook them is because they start to lose the color.  But they shouldnt be so tough that you cant chew them, either go to another restaurant or to the dentist!

  3. yeah, cuz you paid money for them!

  4. no

  5. Yes it is proper! They undercook them because of poor planning.
