Is it "ethical" to interview for a bunch of internships at the same time?

I think I know the answer, but how would you go about it if you were accepted into a few of them? I mean, I hope this will be the case for me instead of the other way around, but should I give a reason for why I'm not accepting the position, or should I keep my explanation short and sweet?

  1. Yes.

  2. I say got for it!  Interview for everything you are interested in and see what you get.  Look at it this way... when you apply to college, you don't just choose one... you need options - this is the same thing!  This is your first big career move which will jump-start the rest of your life.

If you (and I hope you do) get offered more than one, weight your options, then after you have decided AND ACCEPTED the one you want, then politely thank them for their offer and let them know that you have already accepted a different one.  There is nothing wrong with that!!
