Is it "ok" or "appropriate" to dye your hair before a job interview?

The first time i got a job my hair was dyed dark golden brown. I had asked my manager and peers if this was "ok". they all said "as long as it doesnt stand out its fine"

Now i'm applying for a new job at Macy's and i see that the majority of employee's there have their natural hair color or dark brown hair color at least.

would dying my hair affect me getting employed?

or my future employment at other places?

I in my opinion look more "social" and out-going

but i question my biased outlook in this.. please help ><

 1. Yeah, you'll be fine. The worst that would happen if people just kept staring at it, but that'll probably never happen.

 2. If your hair is dyed a color found naturally on human heads, it should not affect you one way or another. If your hair is blue or green or a color like that, you may have a problem.

 3. It depends. The color should not be too bright, like orange. The color you described doesn't sound bad at all. Long as it's not purple or hot pink you should be cool. Good Luck!

 4. Macy's doesn't care about your hair color. As long as you wear the regulation black polyester uniform and learn to say, "I hope I've provided you with outstanding service" without rolling your eyes, you'll be fine!
