  2. Definately 'vicious cycle'.  

  3. vicious cycle, a geometric shape can't be vicious.  I love when people make that mistake though it always makes me laugh.  Props for you for asking.  

  4. Both are correct. A viscous cycle refers to some thing repeating itself, such as something in history like war. Where as a vicious circle usually refers to something more personal.

  5. It's nothing to do with geometry as the expression is abstract.

    Although "vicious circle" is more common, they both mean the same, describing a problem or something bad that keeps happening or repeating itself (going round in circles).

  6. I had always thought it was vicious circle, but this may just be the UK usage.
