  1. Your friend is a sheltered prude. It might be considered immoral by SOME (10% of the crazy population) but it's not a big deal at all. Don't worry. It is a natural human thing- it's a natural thing for everyone, even animals do it of their own accord.

  2. Thats what the "church" calls a sin. Back in the day they thought that retarted pple deserved their condition because they were  probably very bad sinners. I am nobody but I think that it isn't because pleasuring yourself helps control your hormones in the sense that your chances are less likely of looking for a man or woman and then ending up with pregnancy and being promiscous and ending up with an STD. YOu don't kill anyone or do bad onto no one...you are human and try to satisfy your carnal desire. Thats it.

  3. actually it is considered a sin. i remembered that when you go to confession in elementary school the gives you a list of things considered sinful. It's considered a sin unto one's self. i guess it's because you're violating the body God has given you. I don't really place myself with a religion but i went to a catholic school, so i can't say i know how serious it is, but one thing they stressed was that you can always ask god for forgiveness and he will always grant it.

but also know that it IS a natural thing and you can't just naiively subject yourself to something you do not fully understand. but also dont let anyone corrupt your morals.

  4. Well it depends on your religion; I am catholic but not that religious. I do not think that is a sin, nor is premarital s*x in my opinion. I believe for something to be a sin, it has to be hurting others. Masturbation does not really do any harm to others. I never masturbated because I just never had any desire to do so. I would rather do it with a person. But catholics believe s*x other than with your husband or wife is a sin, so I believe they would say masturbation would be a sin. Look at it THIS WAY..

with all the crime and killing, prejudice and hate in the world, why do catholic's and other religious people always pick on lesbos, g**s, those that have s*x before marriage. I stopped going to church because of that. Instead of focusing on all the hate in the world, they are focusing on that! Religious people could sometimes (NOT always. I am not stereotyping) be very prejudice. I believe churches should focus on loving everybody even those that look and speak like our enemies.

  5. It is a natural human thing.

If some deity didn't want you to do it, your arms would have been made shorter...

  6. Of course it's not a sin! It's a natural human thing to do. Most of us have to do it.

  7. Nope. There is no such thing as "sin".

Masturbation is healthy. It helps relieve headaches, stimulates the immune system, and reduces a man's chance of getting prostate cancer.

  8. Masturbation is an unclean practice.

Leviticus 15:16, 17 - Now in case a man has an emission of s***n go out from him, he must then bathe all his flesh in water and be unclean until the evening. 17 And any garment and any skin upon which the emission of s***n gets to be must be washed with water and be unclean until the evening.

The following scripture indicates that impure thoughts are a sin.  What do you think about when you m********e?

Matthew 5:28 - But I say to YOU that everyone that keeps on looking at a woman so as to have a passion for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart

  9. The Bible says flee also youthful lusts.

You cannot always be a believer.Ye must be bornagain.

    John 3:3

  10. F_____ that!! impure this, impure that...do it all u want..there's nothing wrong with that! ppl like that are boring and r too religious geez!

LOADS of ppl do that all around the world

  11. I think it is called fornication. But It is not as bad as going out and having s*x every time you get aroused. I guess it would be better to just crucify the flesh...

Have you ever heard the story of the little boy who masturbated? His mom told him he would go blind. He ask her, Can I do it till I need glasses?

  12. it is a sin. so if you have done it without knowing then you should not be punished at least not in my religion. now that you know its a sin you shoudl repent and not repeat it. if you repeat it after knowing it a sin you will be a sinner

  13. Well if it was, then lots of people would be washed in sin.

Besides, with everything that happens in this world, masturbation is at the very LEAST of our problems.

    Don't worry,it's definintaly not a sin.=)

  14. The Bible calls it loose conduct, it's considered a unclean habit. Is it a sin? Well we are all sinners, maybe one day we will reach perfection and we will be able to answer your question. I think the biggest harm                                                MB causes is it makes us feel guilty, I've heard it said that there is not one person out there that has not done it.  This is my opinion only, try to live your life doing what you think the true God(Psalms 83:18) wants us to do, but if we stumble and mess up remember that , we have a redeemer, our Savior and Lord ,"Jesus Christ".

  15. wow ...  no . its not a sin .

Its not right to Lust after a married person ( think impure thoughts about them )   or if you are married to think impure thoughts about someone else ( commeting adultert in your heart/mind )

but to materbate nooo , its so normal . tell your friend she dont know what she is missing , and she might not be so arguementive all the times if she looses some of the tention :)

  16. It's considered a sin. It's linked with lust.

  17. Suppressing o****m is like suppressing a sneeze. Bad for the body. o****m releases endorphins into your body. When the body sense's that it needs endorphin it sends a message to your brain. The brain creates the urge. Sometimes the brain wants you to sleep,Sometimes it wants you to climax, or sweat or cough or vomit. Its all about the brain regulating a healthy body. Do you think God wants you to suppress a healthy regulated body?

  18. Though standards on an earthly level do call this normal, think about this.....

In order to m********e, do you not have to think about certain thinks on an intimate level, such as a guy/girl, see a picture, think s**y thoughts, etc.?

Well, Jesus said that if you lust in your mind over someone, you commit adultery.  His point is not that it pertains to only a married person but that if you are having sexual thoughts in your mind you are committing the same act irregardless if you physically do it or not.

I would imagine the same applies to fornication (s*x out of marriage)

  19. a person performing self stimulation is not sin, it is the act of lust outside of wedlock that is sin. A person must purify their minds and not commit impure acts of the mind, which are easier to fall into than actual physical acts.

  20. This is such a sensitive topic, it's interesting that you brought it up.

I really don't think the Bible is exactly clear on this topic, but I think in most cases, masturbation is a lustful act, therefore making it a sin.

It is a very common thing. I think if you feel convicted about it, then it's obviously a problem. With things like this, I guess you really just have to examine yourself and ask God if it's really something that you should be doing.

It's encouraging that you want to know what's right and hopefully you'll seek counsel with someone if you continue to be worried or tempted by this particular area.

  21. It is a sin for men to "spread their seed" or something along those lines. I'm not sure if it says anything about women. I'm a believer in the bible but I sin just like the rest of the world. It's human nature to want to make ourselves feel good.

  22. Masturbation is a grave sin.

If you did it in the past without knowing it is wrong, God takes that into account. How that you know your past actions were sinful in the eyes of God, regret your past actions, and do not repeat them.

The problem with sins like masturbation, is that they can become habitual sins. Before you did it not knowing it was wrong, now you know it is wrong and don't want to do it anymore. You might find it difficult breaking this habit. If you fall to this sin again, repent and start over again. Find ways to break this habit, especially through prayer and self discipline.

p.s. According to the Roman Catholic Church it is a grave (mortal) sin to m********e. I noticed some Catholics saying its not a sin, learn your faith my fellow Catholics.

  23. 1Th 4:3  For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality;

  24. pshhh your friend probably does it too. many ppl do it it's natrual.

    EVEN ANIMALS DO IT.

  25. yes its a sin. as serious as any other sin.

  26. deffinitly not a sin

  27. Even if there were a god, which there isn't, how could he/she make a thing that produces the most wonderful cramp-reliever EVER (even better than three liquid gel Advils) a SIN?

    No...not now, not ever.

  28. Yes, it's serious, but like all sin, our culpability plays in here. In other words, if we are ignorant, then God cannot hold us as accountable as one who knows better. But now that you know, you need to take seriously that you have a duty to have an informed conscience. Time to study.

  29. ha ha, you're going to h**l! (said in a sing-song voice)

  30. if you enjoy doing something, its probably a sin

  31. There is nothing wrong with what you are doing it is completely natural so it is in no way a sin
