Highly doubt it; the weather network is all that reliable for forcasts more than 3 days in advance. It could predict -1 & snow but it would turn out +6 & rain. Weather is unpredictable; Weather in Vancouver is usually pretty mild, atleast until July

I just watched the local news last night and their forecast said 30C for May 16 for most of Vancouver Island. I'll believe it when I see it but it looks like it'll be pretty warm even if it doesn't hit 30.

That has never occurred and only once every 5 years will it ever get that hot in July or August.

Expect rain and cool temperature.

Its too early and I would bet my life that it will not be as hot as they say.

I lived there for 25 years and I can tell you they are the worst forecasts in Canada--Its too unpredictable

You see , they have already lowered it to 25 and I say it will be 20 and raining

If you're getting that info off the weather network link you added, you're reading it wrong. However, there is a good chance that the southern interior of BC is going to reach 30 C by next week (i.e. Okanagan Thompson region.)

Whereas anything is possible I will have to wait and see as it is not usual for this time of year, generally you will find the mid 20's more realistic.  The temperature did make it to the high teens and reached the very low 20's in some areas here a while back.  At the moment though it is a mixed bag of rain and sun.  Next week is supposed to find it becoming warmer but weather forecasting is definitely not an exact science.  I would say it is possible rather than probable that the temperature will get that high by next weekend (after all it is a long weekend).
