or her nose facing the wall? It would be great if you could provide a web link that would back up your answer. Possibly even a list of "do's" and "dont's" for teachers.

Thanks.

  1. Wow, I've never heard of that. That's how things were done when I was in elementary school. If we weren't sent to the corner, we'd have to bend and put our heads under the table. I can't imagine why it'd be illegal to have your nose in the corner. For a moment I though you were going to ask if it was illegal to put a kid in the corner with their pants down (total old school). THAT I think would be considered illegal these days.

  2. I doubt it.  The person above is actually right ... Texas is one of the few states where it's legal for teachers to spank, even without parents' permission (though it is banned in a few Texas cities).  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spanking

Apparently even in Texas you can't lock kids up somewhere, but there are rules relating to time-out:  http://teacherlaw.blogspot.com/2007/10/p...

  3. Nothing is illegal in Texas. You can paddle a kid until his/her butt burst into flames in Texas.

  4. go to the education department and ask

  5. I don't know why that would be illegal, it's just a time-out.
