Do you think that our lives would change if the science showed us that we are a product of the evolution? Would our lives be different if God told us that we are made by his hands? Would we have more freedom? or would people stop dying for hungry? Do you think that in the world there wouldn't be more wars? So, let's start to worry about other importants things I think. Bye.

  1. It isn't really important either way.

However. Evolution has a perfectly rational explanation of God, but, God has no explanation of evolution.

So... It is only important if you believe in God?

  2. Yes, most people would prefer that answers to such things be the truth, and not some religious clabber.

  3. If I am a product of Evolution, than I came from nothing. A big bang from materials that came from where? never mind that.

anyway my species evolved slowly we swam out of the goo. learned to craw, walk and shave.

If this is true than what is the meaning to life?

There isn't one. I can do whatever I want to whether you or anyone else thinks its bad or good. Doesn't matter who are you?

If on the other hand I am result of Intelligent Design...Then there is a designer.

The meaning of life is supplied by the designer of life.

and the one who gave life can also take it away. and I will answer to him whether I like it or not.

  4. Man strives to know why, why, why?  It's how children grow ... they ask about everything.  To be honest, how man and the earth were formed is totally beyond man's comprehension and that's the way it always will be. Some things you're simply never gonna know ..... but that bafflement makes man even more curious about the world ... and as a result he invents, more and more and more .... never gets to understand himself but at least he can just about master natural laws.  Technology is a marvellous thing .... the next question should be 'where will it all end'?  Will we ever produce power without nuclear energy or fossil fuels?  Will man ever grow enough to stop killing each other?  How can we make the world a safer, happier, more environmentally efficient place!  Sod how it was formed .. let's just look after it and each other!

  5. Change it slightly. Is it really important if we treat a sick child with prayer or provide medicine to them?

  6. Knowing the truth is important.  Why wouldn't life on earth change if we knew the truth whether it be that God created us or we are a product of evolution.

Religion has historically been that which generates wars, or correction, we generate wars based on the defense of one religion over another.  Eliminate religion and there would a different behaviour entirely from humans, and that would primarily be chaos.  Believe or not, in the end religion serves a greater purpose whether it was made up by a bunch of truly wise people ages ago or was a real event.

As we evolve and live in countries that are free, allowing it's citizens to have a choice to think for themselves, the truth becomes attractive to pursue.  Exploring the theories of origin and science is a fairly new right in terms of how long we have existed on this earth.  So in my opinion this exploration is in it's infancy and has yet to produce greater discoveries.

If humans have no religion would there not be chaos, are we all evolved enough to respect one another, to not murder etc.  What would replace religion that would evoke a devotion to human life, caring, respect, morals etc.   Could we replace it with our strong wills.  As a species are we even half close to wanting to be good on our own without religion.  (Note:  and not all religions encougage us to be good, but actually encourage us to kill one another when we don't follow the same religion).  Whether religion is true or not our species needs something like it now to encourage us to be good.  Hopefully one day we may know the truth, of our origins, but it won't be in our life time.

  7. Do you think that our lives would change if the science showed us that we are a product of the evolution?

Yeah our lives would change dramatically. All the intelligent religious people would start spending more time on other things, such as concentrating harder on their job rather than worshipping something that doesn't exist. Then the intelligence of the human race as a whole would not be wasted and we would over a few centuries atleast progress much, much quicker in terms of inventions and they would have a much mroe open mind.

Would our lives be different if God told us that we are made by his hands?

If proof was discovered that God exists, that would be amazing. I'd be first in line to bend over and take his almighty chunk. The thought of an after-life is great and I'd definitly be a good little boy to get there if it was proven one existed.

Do you think that in the world there wouldn't be more wars?

I think people would come together more, but I'm not sure that war would be totally removed. You wouldn't see any war between religion atleast, aslong as the almighty came down and was like "yo homies I'm here this is what I want you to do." The bible/Quran/etc doesn't do that because no-one even knows who wrote it . And they are interpretations from what God said. So he might have actually said "Thou shall kill and steal and rape woman" but when they interpreted it they thought it had the word "not" in there somewhere. Although I'm sure there are better examples than mine to show that point.

EDIT: To #76 - That is such a primitive way of looking at it. We don't yet know where the first thing came from so let's not look into it any further and just accept God? When time take's it's course we will probably discover this. And anyway, you have contradicted yourself, where did God come from then? God must be something, whether he is in the physical or mental state, so how was he created in the first place? Also I don't think God's heart is being broken, if he exists he will be more intelligent than us beyond our comprehension. So I'm sure he already know's it's not fair to ask us to believe in something when there is no proof that it actually exists, whilst us being odds on to choose the wrong religion to worship even if we did believe in him.

  8. if u truely look at evolution and try to explain it intellegently U CAN NOT. evolution is nothing but a farce and it alwys has been. if they cannnot even answer the question of where did the first thing come from then how can it be anything more than a theory. God is the only explanation for where everything came from. He loves us and we r breaking His heart by making up these stupid things such as evolution and the big bang theory.

  9. If there was undeniable, beyond a reasonable doubt, that there is no God.

A lot of people would be very depressed, or continue to live in denial, others still would cut lose and live it up for there is no point to anything.

Along with an equally large group that would be unaffected or simply a assign a new meaning to there lives and remain decent.

If there was undeniable proof that there is a God because God spoke to us all and said so.

There would still be people that would denial it.

Vast majority would "Get right with the lord," given any opportunity to do so.

All that would do other wise would be blasphemers and a massive crusade would erupt, God willing of course.

  10. It's just one of those things that people will have to figure out.

  11. Me and God are buddies. I think science merely proves that God exists. For instance, random mutations don't have to happen, but yet we have the long neck of a giraffe and the blue jay's blue feathers and the camouflage of the iguana- which are all pretty neat. What caused the Big Bang?...something random of course. How often are awesome fossils of the missing link are found?....alot rarer than finding a diamond. These things don't have to happen, but they did thanks to Him. How cool is it that the similar antinomy of the human hand can be found in a huge whale and a tiny bat!?  That's art.

  12. If we can prove, absolutely, that there is no God, or that any of the myriad of creation myths is true, then that would stop all the suicide bombers, for a start.

People who fight wars would not have the comfort of thinking that there is an afterlife. How readily do you think that they would go to battle.

There would be a sudden outbreak of peace.

Unfortunately, neither the presence or absence of God can guarantee peace on Earth.

    .

  13. I guess it doesn't matter now. Some people live day by day while other live in the name of God. For example, I live in the name of God because I want to be saved and I want to believe that others could too.

But there are other's who believe religion was invented to keep sanity and fear within the human.

It would definetely make a difference in the world if the truth would be known, but I guess we will find out sooner or later. Dead or alive.

  14. we invented god to help us believe in something

  15. I would prefer to actually understand the world.  It makes it easier to deal with other things in a ration manner.

  16. Some of us are interested in truth. That is, understanding things is good in and of itself. It's also interesting and fun.

Then there are practical benefits to understanding things accurately. By understanding our origins, we can better understand why we are what we are. We can't solve problems if we don't understand their causes, and the parameters constraining their solutions.

And there's understanding medicine, and the nature and causes of some medical conditions.

And there's understanding food, agriculture, etc.

If people assume there's some Creator, and that they know what that creator wants us to do or refrain from doing, then that shapes their morality. If their ideas are all wrong, their morality is wrong.

Understanding what we are and how we came to be what we are IS important.

You may not have any interest in understanding truth, but most humans do.

    Bye.

  17. It is only important if you want it to be. If you have no faith in God and have no desire to have faith in God then it is not important to you

Would our lives change if more people realized that the world was made by God? (I changed your question just a little) I believe yes. You see, there was a time when the majority believed in God, and for the most part followed His rules. Now I know many get tired of hearing about the good old days but let me tell you a little of what life was like then.

There were no massacres in our schools or in a work place. The biggest problem in school was chewing gum or talking out of turn. No one took guns to school. No one ever thought about taking the keys out of the ignition of their vehicle no matter where they were. People respected other people and used words like Sir and Mam instead of the derogative words used today. That type of word was not used in public so children did not hear them, and you were known as a rascal if you used them.  Kids played outside until dark and no one had to worry about them. They even played in the streets as drivers would watch for them. It was not necessary to cover the eyes of children due to the scummy books behind a counter. They were sold in the back room and in a brown cover so kids would not see them and be exposed to adult activities. Women and men could walk the streets at night and not worry. People did not push and shove to be first, they would actually wait for you to help you. If you were elderly or crippled those younger than you or in good health would rise and give you a seat. In fact, people would rise in respect when an older person came into the room. People would greet you on the streets and not be afraid of retaliation. No one cared what color clothing you wore no matter what part of town you were in. Abortion was used to save the woman’s live and not to murder innocent babies. Women were for the most part married before they had babies and daddies for the most part did not walk off and leave their wives and children. That made for a family unit that most are looking for today and can not find.

Now, of course there were exceptions to the above as Satan was alive and well then too. It was not always a blessed life but for the most part people looked out for each other and had respect for each other. Yes dear, there is a God and life would be so much better if we all realized it.

Evolution did not happen, you did not come from rock soup but you were made in the image of God. Now you can disown Him if you want. No mater how much you say you are content and happy, there is a hollow spot inside of you and you will never be fulfilled until you fill it. It is a unique spot that can only be filled by the living God. Try it, you will like it.

  18. Would you live by a lie, or the truth.

The earth is a product of geological and cosmic forces having nothing really to do with evolution.. The god hypothesis has not a scintilla of evidence in support of it. When you live by the truth, you live free, not when you delude yourself.

  19. You should ask the people who are hoping that stem cell research will lead to cures for their genetic diseases if it matters.  Our current knowledge of biology and medicine depends on the theory of evolution and our understanding of it.  Science is important, and it's incredibly important to make sure that we teach the scientific method to our children, without diluting it with unscientific nonsense.  To sit here and say that we shouldn't worry about debates like this because people are starving is to miss the point- without science, our crop yields would be much smaller, and more people would be dying.

  20. no,i do not think it important rather the earth was created by the creator or was formed on its own,,what is important is that we take care of her..
