Is it really impossible to become a permanent resident of Brasil if I have no special qualifications?

  1. Just to clarify a previous users answer - if you have 50,000USD and set up a business in Brazil you can get perm res. Not 60k.


  2. My teacher lived here ilegal for the past 5 years, and in the last couple months he hired an advocate, and gets the permanent resident.

    So, yes it is possible.

  3. Yes, it´s necessary to have a special qualifications to be a legally permanent resident...in Brazil or any other place...no country wants to employ ordinary foreigners.

    And, despite someone told, There IS investigation on marriage in Brazil...in my opinion it´s even worst than USA.

  4. If you have $60,000 USD+ you can set up a Brazilian corporation and apply for residency. There are lawyers in Brazil who are more than happy to arrange this for about $3,000 in legal fees.

    There are no investigations like in the US.

    And it can be really cheap.

    Otherwise, no.

    They are very hard on immigration nowadays.
