... I can't ever remember Bobby Moore or Geoff Hurst or Martin Peters or Jimmy Greaves 'warming down' AND more important, I don't remember them being perpetually injured like some of today's 'stars'. In fact, Bobby used to be in the 'Black Lion' about half an hour after a match was finished.

  1. Yeah, a number of things can happen to u, such stokes, heart attacks, blood clots. you need to get the heart rate back down to its normal rate. because if ur running as fast as ur legs can take you then just suddenly stop gravity pulls the blood in ur body towards ur feet and as it tries to circulate back round it can become traped and form blood clots which arent nice lol

    hope tht helps :)

  2. u need 2 get ur heartbeat back to its normal rate. thats y

  3. when you aqre playing you need more oxygen your muscles get an oxygen debt and this leads to a build up of lactic acid in your muscles. if you dont warm down then you get bad cramps and aches and do serious damage to muscles. people didnt used to warm down because they perhaps didnt know about as much about this.

  4. Yes cause believe it or not most injuries happen off the field if you do not warm down.

  5. its import to cool down cos u build up chemicals in your legs such as latic acid which can over time be depremental to your performance, the are many other things such as helps the muscle return to there 'normal state' and the body slow down rather then instant stop, but one of the other important things is the players "come down" psycologically

  6. yes because it's not good for your muscles to suddenly stop after you have been running for an hour and a half.
