  1. Does GM use "boat paint" on the Corvette?

  2. Dodge man hit the mark with the poly paint. Never had a return yet. But. Ya gotta make sure that you do the right prep work on the gel coat when you paint a boat with any kind of paint. Solid foundation = beautiful paint job. Happy boating.

  3. if you want something that will stay on it use polyurethane on it,it will with stand the water and hard elements of the water, good luck.

  4. it s not necessary , but i woudl use 2 part marine paint, after all the prep work, time and money spent on the paint, how much more is it going to cost?

  5. I've seen the results of car paint and clear coat used on a 44' yacht, not pretty after a few years. I'd use a two pot marine paint.

  6. You can use automotive paint on a fiberglass boat (topside) especially if you want some wild color.

On the bottom side use boat paint. Automotive paint won't hold up on the bottomside.

Go easy on hardner as car paint will chip a whole lot easier than boat paint.

  7. paint is the same either way if the glass has been opened it is ussually a good idea to re gelcoat it or use feather fill a poyester primer  also good idea to use a thin coat of dp epoxy primeras a sealer just reduce it a touch and it will lay real flat
