haha, no, it's not rude. I do find it pretty annoying though and some people think you are a little...well, I'm not trying to be rude but..a little less intelligent for not using correct capitalization. (ha, you can tell that's not me, I'm pretty sure i've only capitalized like 3 times.)

No.  I often type a word in caps for emphasis since not all outlets accept html tags for italics and it's quicker to do caps anyway.  ALL words in caps is usually seen as rude, though.  Notice the example I used.  If you want to know how annoying inappropriate caps can be, try reading the cartoon, "Brenda Starr."  THAT'S irritating.  I can't believe someone with such a vapid take on capitalization is still being printed in the "funny" pages.

whenever someone types a question in all caps so as to get theirs more attention/more responses than the others, i purposely ignore it. same thing for people who do similar things in real life.

I dont think it's rude, but  almost all the time we think abt caps as shouting to someone . may be bcoz of that they told you that ur caps were rude.
