Is it really that bad? I want to name my daughter Jaedyn but everyone keeps saying that it's a boy's name. ?

I think it's cute and it can be unisex. But EVERY time i tell someone what her name will be, they always say "oh it's a boy!" and i say no and they're like "oh." but it's the kind of "oh" where u can tell what they really think. so what do u think?

My niece's name is Jadan.  It really suits her.  I know she will go to school with boys named Jayden too... it's a bit awkward.  My name is Renee and I went to school with a guy named Renee.

I LOVE the name Jayden for a girl!!!!!!!! Not so much for a boy, though.

Use it, it's so pretty!! I like your spelling, but it will be hard when the baby is in grade-school.

Go with it! I get confused looks all the time when people hear that my daughter's name is Brandan. Plus, I'm pregnant with another daughter that I plan to name Dylann. I say go with what you feel! Jaedyn IS a girls name and you have it spelt very femininely and I think it's beautiful!

This name is trendy and becoming FAR too common. Just the way it's spelled looks immature. Why not just the simple "Jade"? That name has been around for a long time...I went to school with a girl in the 70s named Jade.

If you must use it, use a normal spelling.

I was waiting to take care of some insurance paperwork today and the lady next me had a little girl named Jaedan!! She was adorable and had a great personality..the name was totally fitting!! Its your little baby name her what you want!! The way you spell it is very feminine too!!

sounds like a girls name to me. especially with that spelling. Jadon would sound like a boy.

and anyway even if it is a boys name that's fine.

My sisters names are Alex and Tyler.

people get over it. i love masculine names for girls

but  jaedyn isn't masculine anyway.

It is unisex I guess. That isn't the issue with the name. The issue is that it is in the top 20 most used names for boys and girls, along with Kayden, Aiden, Braeden, Draden, Zayden, Shayden, Hayden and all of the other spellings of these. They are sooooooooooo tired and trendy and overused. Every kid I know is a "den" kid.

this name is perfect......it can be a boy or a girls name I have heard of it for both, but I prefer it for a girl.....as for others you will never please everyone so name your child the name you are going to be happy with and to the others who cares........stick with this name it is beautiful and modern.

I guess some names just seem like they belong to a specific gender, even if theoretically they are unisex. To most people, Jaedyn is a boy's name, so you would probably get that alot - and she may get teased..kids can be cruel (and so can some adults)

What about Jade or Jayla?

I don't like the spelling Jaedyn, but I do think it sounds like a girls name. I know a girl called Jaiden and shes never had any trouble with the name.
