Ok. I've been reading that it could be bad for overweight people to jog... Well i get tired of the bike, the elliptical, the row machine, etc, but i don't get tired of jogging, but i weigh 305, Now don't get me wrong, i'm not your typical obese person, i was a college football player, and such, and i have a lot of muscle in my upper and lower body. I do have Osgood schloders or however its spelled, so i do have pain in my lower knee area, but thats typical for people with OSD. Is it possible for the benefits of me jogging to lose weight better than what its doing to my knee's??? i'd like everyone's opinions.

  1. Invest in a heart rate monitor, your work out should be 60-80% of your maximum heart rate so if you can get up to that with out jogging you could just walk.  Also, even though it looks weird, power walking is a great cardio work out and much easier on the knees.
