  1. Skills, talent and looks are not enough.

You need to have ambition, be willing to work hard, and have a certain amount of luck.

  2. Yes, it is really that hard.  It takes more than talent and being amazing. It takes hard work, experience and luck. And it takes having the right kind of personality.  As a manager of aspiring actors' preparationg for an acting career, I teach them exactly how to get ready and be ready when the break comes. I have taught acting for 50 years, I was a SAG actor for ten years, and have written a free book on the subject of prepareing for and having a career as an actor.

  3. well, you have a few misconceptions. Being offered a spot in a training program is no real accomplishment. Completing the program is. Remember they are running a business and need your tuition dollars. Your special skills are nice and they lend you to a great interdisciplinary approach. Thinking you are amazingly talented is nice for your self confidence but thats all it gets you.

If you are talented and amazing opportunities do not find you.

If you are talented and amazing you find the opportunities. You have more confidence and determination to make those opportunities, to audition, work and repeat.

Your friends and family are great supporters but its similar to me giving a compliment to a judge for a nice trial. ( i have no idea about law and the compliment is practicaly worthless because it doesnt come from a concrete base of knowledge.)

Nobody gets anywhere without struggle and effort. MC Hammer sold 80,000 CDs out of the trunk of his car in california before he got a chance with a label. Counting Crows blew 1 million dollars of a record labels cash in order to get the label support to finally release the album (august and everything after.)

Those child tv stars are not stars because they are gifted. They are stars because they have backstage parents working as their managers.

If you think its something like Courtney Cox and Bruce Springsteen; thats a shot of a lifetime. Like Harrison Ford getting a role in star wars because he was the carpenter for the movie. Thats luck and defining opportunity.

You should hope that your luck leads you to see the auditions that will lead you further in your career. Be glad you are talented because that will keep you afloat when no company hires you. When you wonder and have self doubt. When you believe in yourself when you think they dont.

You can do it. But it takes effort, patience, diligence, luck, technique and the right support.  Be brave.

  4. it would eventually become harder since u have to work long hours. but if you r extremely talented u can do anything with acting singing and modeling

  5. It's hard cos there's loads of luck involved. The majority of talented people don't make it big.
