I was at an eye doctor today and one of the opticians was saying that now something like 60% of the population wears corrective lenses, such as eyeglasses and contact lenses, and it is about 50/50 as to which one.

Is this true? It seems a little outlandish to me...

  1. It could be true,I have a photo of me and 10 of my friends in it,and out of us 11,5 are wearing some sort of corrective lens, whether it be contacts or glasses.I'm not saying that based on that alone that the statement could be true, but it gives you an idea that the theory could hold up somehow!

  2. if u r talking about half of the 'near-sighted' population.. they answer is yes.

if u r talking about the total population... heck no

  3. Could be lets see about 6.7 billion people. half 3. something billion yeah that could be the case.

Lots of people have some type of vision problem but they dont all wear glasses or contacts so i'd say its likely but not sure if you asked to more than half the pop. have vision problems that would be a yes.

  4. Yep and I have come to an understanding that 70 to 90 percent of Americans have some kind of blurry vision. Could you imagine where we would be if at least 50 percent of of our ancestors had high blurry vision and couldn't get corrections?

Our bad vision habits are very profitable along with the eye exercise scams. Not to mention all the diseases like macular degeneration and retinal detachment and cataracts that follow many years of wearing artificial corrections.

I am excited to be part of the wave that is helping to bring us back to balance and amazing natural eyesight again.
