Is it really worth getting direct tv protection plan?

if your equipt is leased then drop it...you can always start it up again if something goes wrong, then stop it after the issue is fixed.

if your installation was done well; the dish was attached to a solid base so it will not move over time and there is little probability of ligthing strikes or power surges  in your area, then the protection plan may not be worth it.

I suggest you switch to DISH.

They have better plans..

Get it i have it they will come anytime to repair something and they do dish alingments and so much more.
