Is it really worth it???? seriously?

I live in Texas and i booked a "luxury package hotel" to Florida for 3 days. 4 star hotel "marriot" and buschgarden passes for 3 days. I never been to a beach in my life either. According to the GPS its 1120 miles to drive. And im willing to dish out on the gas money.. will it be worth the long dive??

You could do a lot better for that kind of time and money.

Pick a nice beachfront motel/condo in SE Texas.

      The gas alone would probably be around $350-$500 for roundtrip plus tooling around while you're there....Stay closer to home and relax for a few days. A beach is a beach.

I am a huge fan of the Tampa bay Busch gardens. I have been going there ever since i was a child. You ask if it is worth the money-and I would completly say YES. Especially if you are a hardworking person you need some time to relax. If you are worried about the expenses, my suggestion would be to downsize your hotel. I would go to a mom and pop type hotel where they give you nice, clean service but at a reasonable price. I am not sure how much you will be paying at the marriot, but that is one way you may be able to cut back. If you are set on staying at a four star hotel, and spending the extra money. i would highly reccomend still going on vacation there. hope i could help. (by the way i know its horrible to say, but at busch gardens if it rains they will give you a pass to come back another day for absolutly free--and in florida it rains at least once a day. I knew someone who got like 4 free passes that way)

PS-completly random--but you answered my question. lol. about a reasonably priced vacation. i just thought it was ironic..

If you like to drive sure...take the Gulf Coast route its pretty scenic. Since you are in TX, be sure to go to Galveston Island sometime. Its nice to visit, and there is a beach also.
