Is it relatively easy to get jobs doing voiceover if you have a really good voice for that kind of thing ?

  1. It's actually quite difficult and not entirely dependent on if you think you have a great voice. working/volunteering in radio and advertising will give you a foot in the door.


  2. In Los Angeles, doing voiceovers is actually a very, very competitive field. It is just as tough to break into as any other field of acting, with the same, established people getting many of the same jobs over and over, and celebrity voiceovers also making it hard for new talent to get a shot. But don't be discouraged. I have known a couple of people who do it (commercials, animated projects, etc.) to supplement their income (as front-of-camera actors). Just know that it is quite a competitive field.

  3. Are you looking for work? All you really have to do is put a demo reel together and start mass mailing it out to every TV station (Creative Services Dept.) and production company who specialize in Commercials. Pay per spot isn't great, but if you can make 30-60 bucks for 30 seconds of work that aint too bad now is it?
