Religious intolerance is frowned upon due to every U.S. citizens right to freedom. To tolerate a religion who is intolerant to sects of people has gone on for centuries, killed billions, cited acts of moral ineptitude, and completely disassembles reasonable concepts found in the same book and often the same chapter. Would you suggest that your faith has brought humanity as a whole together or helped to tear them apart into segments believing in one thing, acting in that one thing, then requesting forgiveness for showing signs of weakness or "being human." If your God lived inside you, you would be preaching your own personal truth, and if others followed by suggesting they are doing God's work through their actions, is their psychotic well-being in jeopardy or simply in-line with your own general truth? If God were in the details, why do we pay attention to the parts that apply most to our current state and neglect outdated concepts of incest, rape, and torture?

  1. I think the idea of tolerance vs. intolerance is the reason for so much discord. If we focused more on the universal message of "peace, love, forgiveness, etc." and raised a new world generation that celebrated individuals rather than "faiths, cliques, groups, clubs, ....," the world would be a more compassionate place.

Anytime you have a "group" of people, you have set boundaries to be crossed. Wars to be started. Yadda, yadda, yadda....

    Peace.

  2. Religion is a "by-product" of global unrest in our age. For lack of a better term, Nations now use religion as an excuse for extorting resources for other nations. America being the most egregious in recent history.

It's all about resources. Let's say you put ten monkeys on a very small Island whos only source of food was a solitary banana tree. The weak monkeys will do without and eventually starve.

Sad to say the human species has not evolved beyond that mentality.

Now there are places like Isreal and Palestine who have been fighting since the record keeper had a hammer and chisel. These countries have a deep seeded hatred for one another culminated over many centuries. They too are using religion to fuel the fire of hatred and revenge. It's killing in the name of religion and religion in the name of killing.

  3. I dont get how tolerance could divide anyone

  4. I don't really think any faith brings people together except within that faith.

I mean buddhists seem nice enough... but outside of that all of the religions are fighting each other. To say that Christians, or Muslims, or Jews, or whatever is single-handedly responsible would be foolish.

I'm personally a Christian, and while I believe homosexuality is wrong, i'm also a sinner and don't believe that their sin is any greater than any of mine.

  5. What is dividing our global community is "evil" and evil will come disguised as an angel!

It will worm itself into the religions of the world and it will create a religion for the world and it will capture the kindest soul and rent it apart would God allow it.

God does not divide the world, He has not created religions to divide the world. The evil that is run by the "Prince of Darkness" the one who rules the world now is the cause for all our pains, sufferings, hatreds, fears, diseases, and horrors.

He is to blame for the rapes, the tortures, the murders, the incestuous paedophiles, the cancers, the polios, the viruses, the starving, the naked and the poor.

Put the blame on our division where it belongs because for thousands of years now God has been trying to tell us the truth and very few people are listening. But they are listening to the one who lies. Lucifer.
