I have to find the definition for it for my drivers ed class and i don't know what to put!

  1. Of course.  I wouldn't drive without of it, just in case i get pulled over I will have it.  You will get arrested if you get caught without your license.

  7. Yes, but once I was pulled over and I had forgotten my license at home. The cop gave me a ticket for drving without a license and told me to bring the license to the police station to prove I that had one and the fine would be waived. I did this and paid no penalty.

    So yes, you need to carry it but if you forget it's not the end of the world.

  9. Look in your drivers ed book. Of course you have to carry your license with you when you drive as well as proof of insurance and registration.

Yes, Police Officers want to see it immediately, otherwise they have no idea who you are.If you give them your correct name they'll call it in to idetify you, check for warrants etc., but you are rquired to carry it and can be issued a citation for not carrying it.The cop might give you a break if you're polite and cooperative, but just carry it with you. it"ll save you some headaches.
