Of course not. Dwayne Wade has no tattoo's and is great superstar. Chris Bosh and many others. Kidd, Nash and Dirk.

Seriously, no. You do not need tattoos to play in the NBA. Just like you do not need to chew tobacco to play in the NBL or have a diamond & gold  grill on your teeth if you're a rap artist from the South :)
