is the tense in the brackets right?

1) When he was young, Bob Dylan's name (be) Robert Zimmermann.

2) He (be) a singer and composer fpr more than 20 years now.

3) In 1964 he (start) playing folk-rock.

4) Since he (become) famous all over the world.

5) A number of the singers (copy) his style over the last 20 years.

6) In 1984 he (bring out) a new concert album.

7) He (just decide) to plan another tour through Western Europe.

8) He (always protest) against social injustice.

9) Last year he (sing) at a number of peace demonstrations.

10) He (not be) on a concert tour to Chona yet, but he would like to go.

    8) always protested (you could use had or has to imply he used to or he used to and still does, so I would drop the had)

    4. doesnt make much sense unless you were to add extra info to the sentence

    5. sounds ok, but instead of using copy try other words such as mimic etc
