As a Bears fan myself I personally think it isn't right. Even if you don't like him.

  1. They can certainly express their disappointment with the way the player is playing, or the way the team is being run.  But, I wonder how many of these fans really know what is involved in running a professional sports team.  I think most boo becuase 'their team' isn't winning.  That really isn't fair because your team can't win them ALL (*cough NewEngland *cough) and let's face it, in every game someone's team is going to lose.  A player, even a star player, can't perform flawlessly every week.  And booing that player isn't going to help him improve.  By booing Grossman, Bears fans have said 'we don't want him' but the organization has choosen him for now, so the fans should get onboard and support 'thier team'.

  2. Grossman will get better

    he just needs to grow

he isnt a bad QB just inconsistent

He is a part of the big family of the bears and any bears fan I know would NEVER boo a single bears player. Grossman doesnt deserve it

  3. I thought that was his nickname in college.  My bad.

  4. I don't think it's wrong to boo, I just think it isn't going to help anything. When a player is booed, he may start playing to "not s***w up". He will not play with confidence and will probably make more mistakes. While the organization probably did blow it on the QB situation, these are the guys on the roster. Showing support for the players may help them feel more confident and will hopefully lead to respectable play.

  5. Fan is short for fanatic- they love the sport and their team. You boo for the same reason you cheer and clap. It's a statement about the level of play. Rex has earned the boos just like Peyton Manning has earned the cheers. So be it.

  6. its great i hope bear fans keep booing that loser

  7. Yes - he went to Florida.

  8. I agree, I don't think its right to boo a player.  As a fan it is important to support you team.  Being a fan means that you have an alliegance towards your team.  I don't think that fans should show disrespect.  I understand that many are not happy about the QB situation in Chicago, but it does not warrant fans disrespecting the player.  Booing a player will not help the situation.  First of all it can do two things.  The first thing is that it makes the organization look bad as a whole.  When other teams come to visit and they see that the fans are booing their own players it makes the visiting team look down on the organization.  Secondly it can cause the players to feel as though they are not wanted by the fans and it will then cause the player to want out and move out of the place they are in.  The purpose of a fan is to help the team build in confidence and see them through the tough times, not make things worse.

  9. It is not like they have any better, he got them to a superbowl so no

  10. it aint right just because hes not the best QB at least he aint suckiest

booing a player is not going to help him get better so i think everyone that likes bears should stop booing rex

  11. absolutely they have a right he is "gross"- Man.lol

  12. I'm a diehard Bears fan.  If one of my teams' players isn't doing the right things and not playing the way he's supposed to, I'm going to boo him.  The man could be a good NFL QB but he's not consistent.  He throws 4 TD's in the first half, then turns around and throws 4 INT's in the second.

  13. Yes.

Fans of any team can boo decisions made by the organization. Booing is not a bad thing. It shows passion for that team. It also shows caring for the team. If everyone only cheered their team, then how would management know when it was time to make chages.

I can't believe how America is so against booing because its "negative." Not everything is fine and dandy. Sometimes people need to hear the negatives to know what they need to get better at. Especially from the people closest and most loyal to them. Those are the people that you can trust to help your team and are booing you simply because they are jerks.

  14. yes because he doesnt try to help the team out he isnt a team player and he only plays good when he feels like it

  15. I don't think any player should be booed but hey these guys make millions, they have learn to be thick skinned

  16. I don't like it but if he's consistently performing badly, its understandable. These guys get paid millions.

  17. YES because he is incomptent and seems to complete more passes to the the defense than he does to the offense

  18. I'm from Philadelphia, where we boo anyone who makes a bad play, regardless of whether they are on our own team or not. And I would boo Rex Grossman because he is really bad, no offfense.

  19. Yes, I thought our team (the Ravens) had a bad quarterback with Kyle Boller, but then I saw Rex on several prime time games.
