Is it right for me to get upset over this?

I already cancelled my acct with SmartBro. Then the company's contractor calls and says they have to take all the equipment back (antenna, etc.) and I have to be around to sign something. The lady said she'll text/call me back in the morning. Next day, no text/call. I didn't mind. Yesterday she texted me 6pm that they're on their way. I waited til 7:30. I texted back and asked where they are now. She replies "We're on our way, just eating for awhile." I waited til 8:15pm, called her. She said she's so sorry but they got very hungry and are eating now. I told her to just come back the NEXT day, and that she should tell me a particular time. She said 9-9:30am. Early the next day 7am I texted her not to come cos I thought, it's quite suspicious and just inappropriate that a company would allow people to come to the home at night to retrieve equipment. Plus I asked her re the contract since SmartBro never informed me abt taking equipment back. She's unwilling to send me a copy.

  1. thats really upsetting, don't entertain any call from them or text, let them come if they come, but not to wait for them anymore, you have your own life, that's really the problem in Philippines they don't know what is customer service is.

  2. you are in no obligation to wait for them.  let them wait for you.

report harassment to the department of trade and industry if they keep bothering you.

  3. Whoa, relax girl. Take a deep breath... ahhhh. Now, I'm in a service oriented business where i have to deal with customers of all shapes and sizes, not to mention all kinds of moods, hehehe.

Anyway, it is very wrong to make a customer wait and it's very wrong for a service man to visit a customer at 8pm. Unless if clearly specified by the customer that his available time is this time or that day, we as a "service provider" make it a point to make time for that customer. And for that lady (if she is one) to vent  her frustrations on you is very wrong. Call Smart or better yet make a complaint letter. Make sure that you complaints are heard and acted upon accordingly.

  4. That's plain annoying. I hate it when people are super nice if you are buying their product but will treat you like c**p if you are to suspend the service from them.

I suggest you call *1888 using a smart line and report what you have experienced with them, send a message through their site http://smart.com.ph/Corporate/Contact , AND/or go to a Smart Center to make a complain. You can also report them at DTI, http://www.dti.gov.ph/

    Such actions shouldn't be tolerated.

    Hope this helps.

  5. Take down their names.

    Record the phone calls.

Walk this information over to their supervisor.

    You'll feel better.

    Mission Accomplished.

  6. whaaat?!?! They're completely  wrong!! man, you should complain to their supervisors...and you're right not to let them enter your house at that hour...its far too dangerous...you never know what might happen..How irresponsible >.< and to think we have that smart bro thingy too >.< I hope that doesn't happen to us too >.<

  7. Nah.   Forget it.

You have spare china?   How about throwing some over their equipment?   You know, just to hear the breaking noises might calm you down.   Release all that tension.

When they finally come, and see bits of china all around their thing,  tell them the 8.1 quake predicted by this Brazilian only took place in that particular area.

Here is a song from JC Superstar,  muddled up as usual by me:

"Why waste your breath moaning at the phone?

Nothing can be done to stop the ringing.

If every Bro were still, the Smart would still continue

the plates and cups themselves, would start to sing !"

  8. shame on them, they treated you like c**p and you have the right to be upset. don't do business with them

  9. you have every right to get upset. just reading your story infuriates me. reminds me the days i used to have fights with PLDT. and you're right to say that there are a lot of employees with attitudes like that. they turn the tables on you and make it seem that you're the one at fault. i totally understand your situation.

i suggest you compose a letter of complaint. that's what i did with pldt. i listed down all my complaints and my recommendations for improvement. although there's no guarantee that it will reach top management, atleast your putting word out there regarding their services and you somehow had a way to vent your anger. also, if you could, you should state the employee's name so that management can call her attention if they do get to read your letter.
