  1. there was a program a few weeks ago on the bbc about how pedigree and kennel club have completely changed how the dogs looked it was horrible and this pug had to have an operation to save its life so it could breath and it won crufts its not right the breeders were saying the ridge backs were wrong if they didn't have a ridge in their spine which is not supposed to be there and kill the ones born with out the ridge  or a cavalier won this show and it had this gene where its scull was to big for its head and it had lots of pups passing on the gene its horrible !

  2. I think it is as if it still competed and did everything all the other dogs did then it would have been more difficult for him.

  3. Quite normal for dog breeders, some dont give a **** about the health risks. Its about time something was done and dogs were left healthy and normal with all parts intact, not like the poor sods with clipped ears etc.

At least if they did something then breeders with normal unmolested animals would have a chance.

And to all the thumbs downers, keep docking tails, clipping ears etc, etc and tell people "it's for the good of the dog"  let them cut your ears back and see how you feel.

  4. No it should not win. GSDs were and are a working breed and should be built soundly and able to move soundly. Unfortunately some judges do not have movement as a priority when assessing a dog.  TBH, the clip didn't make it clear whether the dog was placed or not - unless I missed that?

However, that was only a few judges' opinions - there are many judges who wouldn't place an obviously unsound dog.

Edit: One Life - In the UK, dogs haven't had their ears cropped since the 19th century & tail docking is no longer allowed!

  5. No disabled or sick dog should even be allowed into a show let alone be placed.
