Is it right that Abhinav Bindra should be highlighted & his victory celebrated so much?

Yes, should be highlighted b'coz he has won the first individual gold for INDIA. In the Olympic history of 112 years nobody for INDIA had achieved that feat which I think is great in itself. No doubt INDIA had won gold medal but that was a team effort in field hockey - this is individual & it means a lot for INDIA.

Hmm it could be but let not the celbration die down in a whimper. coz we indians r known to over react on victory and defeat. but i find abhinav bindra to keep his feet firm on ground even after realising the history he has created . I believe that attitude will bring more glory for india.

It is not a big thing for other contries like usa & china, but we have got first  individual gold medal in th history, so, it is not a pride so much for other countries but for india, there is no any capable olympic winners, thats why he is getting such focus. but its ok, he deserves in his field, otherwise, we were zero medals-it was a shame.

Winning Gold medal is good effort and hard work given by Bindra. We should congratulate him for what he did to country.

But Government should not be happy about this bcoz once Poor China, Illiterate China, Short people's China held a Grand Event in the History. with 130 crore population they won 45 Gold(current status and Recod)...where as 115 crore India is having blast for 1 Gold. I can't balance the equation.

It must be celebrated as he is the one who made history. What are your thoughts not to celebrate his succes, we all must be proud to have sport persons like Abhinav who can raise flag of India on a Global Stage.

On the other side his Gold medal is going to motivate youngster to get more and more honour to India in coming future. So now he has become a Hero and definitely young sports men shall follow him

YES, absolutely yes. After all this guy has won for India a Gold Medal first time in 108 years. why he should be rewarded. what ever the government has done for him till now is insuffcient. Just imagine he has learnt the game and specialised in it without any support from Govt of India. All Indians should be PROUD of this guy.
