My daughter is only 6 months old and i have her dad on child support in our court papers it states he is allowed to get her for the month of July but, in the same section of the papers it states to pick her up from school. well obviously she is too young so doesn't that section really only apply to children that are school-aged?

  1. believe me i don't think a daddy can look after such a young kid so long.

  2. I would say you need to visit with the lawyer and ask those questions.  I don't believe that a 6 month old should be away from his momma for that long of time, especially if you are still breast feeding.

  3. Do you have visitation orders by the court?

That sounds really strange to me.  I don't think ANY judge would let a 6 month old be away from it's mother for a whole month.

I'd contact the office where you got those papers and ask them to be sure.

  4. im pretty sure he can still look after her but if your worried about hium in his care visit most weekends that month

  5. I can only assume that he is a responsible father since you say nothing about him being unsafe or being worried for your child while in his care.  Why shouldn't he be able to have her for the month of July, he is her Dad, You get her for the rest of the time beside I am assuming his regular visitation throughout the year.

  6. Yes, I would assume this applies only when she is in school. But, a lawyer would better be able to explain it to you. I personally would not want my six month old with the dad for a whole month. Maybe on the weekends for a month, but not an entire month. That baby needs its momma! I doubt they meant at her age now. I hope for your sake it doesn't mean that.
