Which jurisdiction be followed in IPL - be it either BCCI guiedlines or ICC 's ACB (Anti Corruption Bureau) 's code of conduct. The IPL Chairman's statement sought to clear the air following the ruckus when Shahrukh was told by the ICC's ACU officials that he should not be in the players' dressing room or their dug out.

Modi said since this was the first year of the IPL they were still learning the ropes. "If we make mistakes we are willing to set them right. This is the first year of IPL."

"We had already provided such badges to Preity Zinta (owner of Punjab King's XI) and Vijay Mallya (owner of Bangalore's Royal Challengers) as we had received such a request from them in advance," Modi explained.

"The team owners have the right to be with the team at all times. They are very much part of the team's strategies," he added.

Modi also said that each team, in addition, would get four more badges with the condition that the holder of that badge, one at a time, can sit with the team members during the match for a maximum duration of 15 minutes.

"After the usage (of the temporary badge) it must be returned to the manager who has issued it. At a time only one person can use this badge," he clarified.

  1. why not???

    he is the "king"

    he'z "KING KHAN"

  2. nothin wrong in the matter of going inside the dressing room.. moreover srk is the manager of kolkata team.. he might of invested money on tat team.. so he can go inside to tell any advise to them..

  3. This rule is dumb. Why can't Shahrukh Khan go to the dressing room and motivate his team. After all he's spending alot of money on this thing and obviously wants them to win.

I don't see any harm....they should let him do whatever he likes

  4. This is so absurd. The owners of the team has the full right to

spend as much time as they want with the team - dressing

room, dug out. Of course they are not allowed to be on the

field. There are curious owners who prefer to watch the game

or have a chat with their players. They should have the full

right to do so. But having said this, owners need not get

involved in any game plan once the game has begun. They

have the full right to talk to their players, coaches and others

    involved.

Here in US, some owners in almost all sports attend the

games. Some sit very close to the action and others prefers

to stay out of crowds. I have never seen any owner getting

    involved once the game starts.

If IPL is making their own rules - that shows the height of

stupidity. I can understand IPL has to have to some rules

where no-one can break them - if they do punishment will be

    the case.

My point against IPL is like permitting 15 minutes and only

if permission is requested. Those sort of absurd rules make

    me think otherwise.

  5. who can say  d SRk  who spent money to get out of d team i think he`s a gr8 encouragement for d team even in bad conditions he is smiling with full of energy grt man nd IPL is full of moneyso dey have to make happy d ownersss ICc had no right to interfere here i thnk dey can interfere  if IPl is scheduled in there calendar

  6. KKR is an Overrated Team Led by an Overrated Player

And this team is Owned by an Overarted Actor

so there is nothing wrong in Meeting two Overrated/hopeless Parties

  7. The IPL isn’t an ICC tournament, but is being run with the world body’s Code of Conduct and protocol in operation.

In a turnaround, the IPL chairman and commissioner, Lalit Modi,  accepted that Virk had been wrong in curtailing Shah Rukh’s movements.

“There is no controversy.… Shah Rukh shouldn’t have been stopped. The Telegraph has carried the picture of players and officials who should be allowed entry into the dressing room. Shah Rukh features among them…. So you can’t deny him access,” Modi explained.

  8. The Team ownwers should have every right to visit the team anywhere. They own the teams.

In fact this all team owenr made this eassy to play and I personally thinks all this game of 20 twenty is bad in princiapl of cricket game became gambling and some big wig those who are tiered with horrse race gave the idea to play this game

The owenr is made force to buy in one way or other to fullfill their aim

so atlest they must be aloowed second they have invested money for game if they go in dressing room or any place wher he want to go

    Najmudin

  9. I don't think they should, after all, they are just another member of the public even if they do own the team.
