  1. I think for me no.  It may cause more big problems because they will kill each other and that is the start of civil war.  Not only that how would you know that they are civilians of MILF.  So better let the uniform men do the rest. Less problem for the government.

  2. why never on sunday? correction for the best answer to your previous question that sabbath day is not sunday but saturday. sabado comes from spanish word means sabbath. if you look it to our calendar sunday is the first day of a week and saturday is on the 7th day of a week. God rested on saturday or sabbath day and not on sunday. sorry if i posted it here because your question is already resolved and i cant posted it there.

  3. Who would want to fight  the MILF.

I can think of better things.

  4. no, that would only create more chaos. remember the CAFGU or the civilian armed forces geographical unit which was used during the 60's and 70's? they only caused more harm and more human rights violations towards the people.

they are not well trained, they aren't even aware of the Geneva COnvention and other protocols that the Philippines have entered into.

we don't want more blood in the streets. the atrocities done by the military is too much. we could no longer afford to see another loved one swimming in his own blood, right?

if the military couldn't do it, that only shows their inability to give peace and order for our people.

  5. no. thats why we ppl are paying taxes.. so the govt has the resources to protect its ppl.

  6. not unless the military lacks personnel, why would we let civilian volunteers die for those soldiers being paid to do their job.

when i was in the "mountains", it is said that "better be captured by the military, the milf, or the npa but not with the cafgu or civilian volunteers"...they know no war protocols or humane treatment of captured enemy or suspected individuals. They take away your properties and women by force, irregardless whether you belong to the enemy or friendly forces.

not only in mindanao do atrocities like this happens, it is worldwide.

  7. I think arming civilians will only aggravate the problem. It is never the role of civilians to fight the bad elements, it is the role of government.

When governments pass on this function to the citizens, it loses its reason for being.

  8. h**l no!

Many civillians have died in that war. The government must do something for this war to end.

  9. fighting best left to those with adequate training, like jedis.  rules of engagement all must observe.  trained warriors, civilians are not.  in battles, they will fail.

  10. That would be a great boost to the MILF since some of the weapons would find their way to the rebels. Remember a little while ago, even the Army ammunition was going to the rebels.

  11. No, it is not right to arm civilians for the purpose of Offensive Warfare.

But to provide arms for civilians to defend themselves is.

It is not only right.  It is the State's duty to see to it the populace has the right to bear arms, and has the means to enjoy this right.  This is especially true in a region locked in guerilla warfare, where the enemy is not conventional, and melts with the population in the light of day, while resuming belligerence at night.  Since the reality of covering the entire region with regular units is an impossibility, the State must learn to adjust to this reality, and delegate its presence through the supply of defensive weapons.
