My family is going on a vacation to Disney World in November and my parents read that because the lines are so long kids there should wear diapers or pull-ups when they are there. My parents now think it would be a good idea to make my two brothers who are 10 and 9 wear pull-ups there, they also want me to wear goodnites there just in case but if I don't wet them during the first 3 days then I won't have to wear them anymore. I'm 12 and don't want to wear them, what do you think I should do?

  1. If your parents make you wear them, then they should have to wear them too!

There is no reason why any of you should need to wear diapers, pull-ups, etc. It's a crazy idea. Just go to the bathroom before getting into a long line. The lines are not even that long.

  2. Are you serious????

The lines aren't that long!  Besides, someone could hold your place in line while you run to the bathroom!

  3. wow. that's a bummer. I'd say just use the bathroom before you enter a line. It's not that hard to not have to go to the bathroom while waiting in line. I went to Cedar Point and waited 3.5 hours in line and never had to wear diapers. I was around the same age.

So tell your parents you don't think you'll need diapers for this Disney trip.

  4. ok, there is no reason that you should have to wear diapers.  The article they read are probably reffering to little kids (like 4 year olds) there is no reason 9+ year olds should need to wear diapers.  Just explain to them that you think it makes you feel like a baby.  If you've never had a problem with wetting the bed, why would they think you start now?  Thats dumb.

I went to disney a few years ago with my cousins.  They were like 6 or 8 and they had no problems

  5. WDW has plenty of bathrooms, and there are rarely lines for them.  I make a habit of swinging into the bathrooms before really long ride lines, but in all the times I've been to Disney World I've never seen 9, 10 or 12 year olds have 'accidents' in ride lines.   Are your parents planning on wearing Depends?

    :o)

  6. at that age... no diapers are not required. just as soon as you need to go, even if you don't really need to go bad, go to the bathroom. that way when you are in line you won't have to get out of line to go to the bathroom. they make that recommendation for parents with smaller children. that take an exceptional long time to take to the bathroom. other guest get upset when parents with small children come back from the bathroom and cut through the line to meet up with their rest of their party.

unless there is some medical reason for diapers... you don't have to wear them.

  7. There's no way a 9, 10, or 12 year old will need to wear diapers to the park. Tell your parents to make bathroom stops before you guys enter the queue lines and not to drink anything while in the line if they're really that worried. I don't think you're going to have to wait for anything longer than an hour or so; you'll be fine. Worst case scenario, if someone has to go once they're in the queue lines, they can always exit and just skip the ride or try to enter the queue line again. But seriously, making older kids wear pull ups to an amusement park is just ridiculous and somewhat demeaning.

  8. First of all I used to live near Disney so I used to go there a lot.

In all my years no one has wet themselves. So you do not have to wear a diaper.
