Is it right to pressure people, over presents?

My mum makes me feel like I have to buy a certain present, of a certain value, for Fathers Day, otherwise I feel afraid, if I haven't. Why has she not given up trying to control her adult daughter?

  1. mom's are like that!

you can chose to ignore it, once you get past 18 and

if you control your own life you should be able to buy what

you want for whom you want!

  2. A gift should come from the heart. The value of it is personal, regardless of how much you spend, for both the giver and recipient. Buy exactly what you want, for whom you want. Remember, it's the thought that counts.

Don't be afraid to express yourself. If you're over 18, your mother has no business telling you what to do with your money. She can suggest, but the final decision is yours, alone...and she should respect that.

It's never "right" to pressure anyone to do anything; the choices, decisions and consequences are theirs, not the person applying the pressure.

  3. Yes you can if that person is really close to you and like your mother...so you can do that there is no harm in that...
