  1. If you are jumping onto Paypal from Ebay, i'd say fine.

    **HOWEVER**

Don't automatically click Paypal buttons if in ANY email you receive as it could jump you to a cloned site which will phish you for personal details and log in details etc.

    Always check the link!

I always use caution and use the right click context menu on the link, select "copy shortcut" and paste that into a search bar or something to check the resource locator string.

There are some which are bogus which can seem bone fide but scrutiny usually indicates a permute of the correct Paypal address or sometimes will show an IP address with a string with Paypal in it or something.

There are so many cyber criminals sending out phishing spam i would advise anybody to always check where the button points to, if in an email which even seems correct as some are quite complex, before clicking it as i've explained, better safe than sorry these days.

  2. As it is paypal, you will be fine as if the worst happens and you dont get what you pay for you can just claim the money back through resolution center.

If you are going to pay by credit or debit card on any website, you should always check to make sure it is secure.

However going back to your question, yes you should be fine with paypal.

  3. If it's just a button on a webpage then the chances are there won't be any SSL involved (at that point!). Clicking the button usually takes you to Paypal directly where you can finalise the transaction, at that point you will be secure.

    HTH

  4. Paypal is really quite safe no need to worry, the SSL is ( Secure Socket Layer ) this is geeky i know but basically you alone and the server ( paypal ) are the only ones who are involved in this transaction.

In simple terms SSL makes you safer no one else is able to hijack your details/card number etc.

EEK i'm a GEEK oh no

  5. Hi, generally a paypal button will take you to your paypal account, if it doesn't then dont use it
