Question:

Is it right to use merit scholarship money to buy a new car after you have graduated (and landed a good job)?

A student I knew chased after every single merit scholarship they could get, right up to graduation, then used that pile of cash to buy a new car after they graduated and got a good job. They did not need the car to get to school. They did not need the money for books or tuition or living expenses. I did not think that was right. To use scholarship money to buy a new car after they graduated seemed like they were taking money away from students who may have really needed help for school. Was what that student did ethical?

  1. Nope, this individual is  morally barren and sorely lacking in any sense of ethics in my opinion..

There is no shortage of students who diserved and could have used that money for what it was meant for.
