Is it rude for me to lay out on my patio within view of my neighbors?

None of my other neighbors do this, so sometimes I feel like I am being an exhibitionist. We don't have a neighborhood or city pool to go to, and sometimes I like to put on my suit, sit on my back patio and read my book for 30 minutes or so to get a little summer color (no skin cancer tirades, please).

It's a newly built subdivision and most people do not have their privacy fence up yet. Is it rude of me to do this? Or am I well within my rights?

You should feel comfortable doing this.  If you still don't, consider setting up some sort of small mobile privacy screen next to you.

Since you're not naked I don't see a problem. If they have one anyway, <shrugs> Oh well!

As long as you are clothed, there should be no problem at all.

Worst case is if you have a homeowner's association and they have a covenant which prohibits that.  Not likely, though.

It's rude.  Make sure no one can see you.

Depends on what you are wearing.  If it's a thong then no, but if it's an appropriate bathing suit I would see no problem.

well i mean its not rude, your on your property, but if you feel like its being rude get a lounge seat like at cvs,walmart, and other places , you can just lay on there, if you feel your being rude, but i don't think its being rude, io mean i can understand why you would think that but i mean its ok!

If your a woman move next door to me, sorry couldnt resist it. lol. I dont belive i authorities, i dont belive in ANY laws. I dont need them theyrre just placed there to usurp power as far as im concerned. As an example. Thou Shalt Not Kill. I dont mate sodd off. LOL not you them who wrote the law. I dont need em. society laws are however different. Unless it serves them you cannot do it. dope makes you think so you cant do that. s*x makes you happy so you cant do that. Remember this law though. Thy will Be done.? do what you want until you get done for it. Then doit again when theyre gone. Having said that i dont rekon its nice for anyone to have a face full of C... P.... or anything else sexual. It turns people on and gets them horny. Thats why its not good to do. Get windbreaks or a pagoda or whatever theyre called and hide ffrom theire view without spoiling your own enjoyment.

As long as you aren't nude, there's no problem. If they don't like it, too bad. You have the right to get some sun.

It's your patio, jeeeze, as long as your not getting jiggy or flashing your privates I don't think anyone has the right to complain about you sunbathing in a bikini!
