  1. It's not rude at all unless they ask you a question or they request a follow-up of some sort. If I had to respond to all the jokes I get, i'd have no fingers.

  2. maybe even just a :) or a shut up leave me alone would be nice

  3. Well I guess it depends who the emails are from.... IF they were from your boyfriend - Yes It probably would be rude to not respond! lol lol On the other hand if they are unsolicited/unwanted emails of a offending nature than you are completely within your rights to not respond - However if it continues you may do yourself a favor and respond that you would like the emails to cease or add them to your spam account.  One of the great things about emails is you can always fake ignorance and pretend you didn't receive due to server/address issues etc.  So No you are not rude in this instance.  This theory does not apply to work emails though! :)

  4. Not rude at all.... ignore it if you are uncomfortable with it.

  5. No.  You aren't required to respond to emails the same way that you don't have to respond to snail mail or telephone calls.  If the email is offensive and you know the person and want to keep emailing, you could send a note that you don't like whatever was sent.  Or you can just ignore it and let it go by if it is very rare.

I would email or call the person and say that the comments are offensive and why.  If they continued, I would not respond or block them.  If they get offended, they can take me off their email list.

  6. not dat rili..

it's better to cut off the possibility of u being harrased

    as early as possible..

  7. nope, people have real lives.

  8. I don't reply to emails if I don't have anything to say back. If you are offended same something like I prefer not to get these types of emails, or continue to ignore they will get the message.

  9. no its sensible

if you dont reply they should get the message

better to not engage at all if you dont want to 'play'

  10. I don't respond to every e-mail anyway.  If it was rude, e-mail conversations from 10 years ago would still be continuing today.

  11. No, replying to emails is like answering the phone, if you don't feel like it or you don't want to talk to that particular person it's your choice.

  12. good question
