  1. Many people eat ribs with their hands. This is why if you got to a rib place they give you lots of napkins and wetnaps.

  2. I don't think it's rude, especially if you're just with another person (husband!). However, if he is being a pig about it, then yes. Each to his/her own! :)

  3. It's best to eat them with fingers. I have difficulty when I try to eat them with a fork. You can't be refined with ribs. That's the type of food I avoid when I'm around people I'm trying to impress or people I don't know very well.

It's not rude to eat ribs with fingers.

  4. I love ribs .. .they give me the chance to play fred flintstone....

Ribs are NOT silverware food ... but if you prefer to use silverware .. that's fine but please don't think other people should.

There's just something so satisfying about allowing the inner-caveman/woman out when eating ribs.. They are something I would never eat when I was out .. .because I agree .. it looks *wild/barbaric/primative* eating ribs that way ... BUT IT'S THE BEST WAY...

I get so messy when I eat ribs .. BUT that's a part of the fun.

Food is MEANT to be fun.

  5. Eating ribs with your fingers is the only way to eat them....that's why there are napkins and towelettes

  6. Ribs are disgusting! Yuuuuuuk!

It's just rude to slurp and chew on any kind of bone held in your fingers like a caveman at the dinner table. They should be given to the dog on the ground, outside. Good for you for at least trying to be civilised.

    hahaha

  7. Well, there's eating with your fingers and then there's eating with your fingers.

It's quite possible to eat ribs with your fingers without grabbing, getting sauce all over the table, slurping and slobbering and generally just beign a huge pig.

Using cutlery for ribs seems a bit extreme, but then again I used to work with someone who ate her meat pies with a kniofe and fork!

If hubby is just being pigy, ask him to tone it down, but knife andf fork work is a tough call for ribs, for most people.

    Cheers :-)

  8. You can,don't worry.

  9. Ooooh la di da. Silverware! Hahaha. No it's not rude. How do you eat ribs with a knife and fork?

Why are you posh people so d**n picky? What's it to you how us non-poshies eat our food. Every thing is finger food to me.

  10. No, it's not rude. Ribs and fried chicken can be picked up. But I'm with you; I like to eat my meat with a fork.

  11. Finger food. I'm laughing at your hubby 'slopping away.' Why would you be OK picking up pizza but not ribs? Either are fine to be eaten by hand I think.

  12. u eat ribs and many other foods with your fingers,

  13. I was always told that if you have to eat it off the bone, you use one hand, not two LOL

  14. Nah use your fingers... you will only make more mess with a knife and fork and end up using your fingers anyway! Besides, its not the kind of food I imagine you would order from a posh restaurant!

  15. No.. ribs are a finger food!
