  1. No it is not. Just give your employer ample notice and don't just walk off the job. Give him around two weeks notice so he can find a replacement.

  2. No its not rude at all. Your the one that will be stuck there doing something you don't really want to do. And if you don't like the job your less likely to put your all into it. So therefore its for your own good and the employers good that you leave. Just be sure to give a two weeks notice. Quitting on the spot is what would be considered rude and inconsiderate.

  3. I know how you feel....

It feels rude, but it is not.  If its not right for you now, it will probably not get better.  Best thing to do is respectfully state the reasons for leaving and leave.  Don't just quit showing up, that would make it rude.  They will understand and if they don't, that is their problem.  You must do whats right for you.  Good luck!

  4. No.  It's good that you recognized right away the job isn't for you and put an end to it immediately.  There are a lot of people today that is going to a job that they hate and don't have the guts to say 'This is not for me.'  Regardless that you just started, you do yourself and the company you work for a favor. You will just be unmotivated by the job and the company don't want someone working for them that is not motivated to complete the task.  Just let your immediate report person know you don't feel like the job your doing is for you. He may tell you can immediately terminate your employment immediately or if the company require you put in a notice, 2 weeks is sufficient time.  Don't let anyone talk you into staying somewhere you know, that you know, THAT YOU KNOW, isn't FOR YOU...
