Because of work schedule, 2 other showers in the same month, and too close to the holidays. Shower will be in Nov.

  1. No it's not rude.Under the circumstances, many showers, holidays, etc, that should be fine.I never understood why people sent out a save the date invites, cause you have to send out two sets of invites.I guess with such hectic schedules now days it makes sense.

  2. I would just send the actual invitations out early.  It isn't rude, but it does look a tad "look how full of myself I am".

  3. I saw your question in another category a minute ago... but honestly any kind of "evite" just upsets me and makes me not want to go. If you want to send a save the date, send it on paper... and at that point you may as well just send an actual invitation.

Evites are so tacky. "You're invited but you aren't worth spending 50 cents on"

  4. no, it stands for an invitation, as long as it invites them as well its not rude and its not your fault when other showers will be either.

  5. * Scheduling on a Saturday or a Sunday is a practical choice, since the adults that you’ll be inviting usually don’t have to work on the weekends.

    * Send the invites at least a month or a couple of weeks before the event. This’ll allow the guests ample time to prepare and shop for gifts for the baby.

    * In the past, baby showers were held during afternoons, similar to a tea party, but in modern practices, these events can be held either in the morning, afternoon or evening, depending on when the couple wants it to take place.

  6. no, a lot of people send them.
