My cousin is working in a large fish factory. She manages employees in the factory. Whenever she is near me I can smell the fish all over her. She is currently my roomate. She makes the room smell bad.

I think she takes a shower everyday in the morning. But She should require her to take a shower and wash her hair at night too because it is very smelly.

  1. no its not rude if you tell her nicely

  2. Just sit your cousin down and say something to show your care and concern, "girl, i have to be honest with you because you know I love you. The place you're working at has you smelling like the products. It's in your hair and everywhere around you..."

If you show it in your face and in your voice, then for sure your cousin will take your opinions into consideration and appreciate your honesty.

When my cousin began to beat around the bush and started randomly spraying me with body spray (playfully), i thought it was all in fun and games. but later on, i found out FROM MY OTHER COUSIN on the OTHER SIDE OF THE FAMILY that the first cousin had done it because she couldnt bare my ranchy smell (i was younger and was more intent on playing).

i was FUMED! i wish she had just told me straight up from the beginning that i had a stench instead of making me feel embarrased.

  3. sometimes when you work in an environment like that, no matter how often you wash, you will still have that scent.  it's unfortunate.  but perhaps she can't smell it because she's used to the smell.  since she is your cousin and you two are obviously close, just mention it to her.  don't be rude or bitchy, just suggest that she take another shower a day, or suggest a new body wash.

  4. Politely take her aside and tell her she smells like fish and looks bad. She will thank you.

  5. Yes, she should. You should just sit down and talk to her about it and tell her it's not a very pleasant smell and she should take a shower. Good luck.

  6. I dont think its rude-- h**l your roo stinks b/c of her TELL HER

  7. Make sure you approach her when you are alone.  I've lived by the ocean my whole life and I don't notice the various smells, but when people visit me, they think it can be stinky...  They get used to it after a couple hours.

Anyway, here's what I would do.  Go buy some body wash that smells yummy and girls, but will also remove the fishy smell.  Then sit her down and talk to her about her stinkiness.  Then present her with the body wash and tell her that you heard this will help.  Nobody wants to run around smelling like fish.  Lemon helps remove the smell.

It's your duty as family to tell her that she smells like poo.

  8. She might not realize how strong the smell is because she is so used to it. Gently explain that the smell bothers you and ask her if she would take a shower and wash her hair after work. You have a right to express your feelings and if you handle it tactfully she won't feel offended and maybe won't get upset.

  9. It's better for you(her own cousin) to tell her than some random person.  Just tell her that you're not trying to hurt her feelings but you have to be honest with her about this and that the smell lingers on her from the fish place and it doesn't go away until she washes her hair in the morning and by that time the fish smell has already filled up the apt. and makes things really uncomfortable for you and just ask her to take a shower at night...it might kinda make her paranoid about her smell but she shouldn't get upset because you're just being honest w/her

  10. Talk to her privately about this and make sure you try as hard as you can to be sensitive (having someone tell you that you smell hurts). Sit her down and tell her that her smell after work is bad and she should shower when she leaves work.

  11. I am sure that she must know fish smell, so if you gently, nicely tell her that you can smell it on her when she gets home and that you think she might need to shower after work, I think she will be ok with it.  I mean it is definitely not rude.  She probably just can't smell it on herself because she is there all day.  She might actually be thankful that you tell her since she probably doesn't know.  Just don't be mean about it and I am sure she will understand.

  12. It's not rude, especially if you ask her in a polite way and explain to her why there is need to do this, if she asks.

  13. just tell her to read this and she will get the point. And no it's not rude. Because im sure she wouldnt like it if someone came over and they smelled that.

  14. Go out and get her some shampoo that's especially for getting rid of odor and the likes. Tell her the fishy smells sought of remains on her and she can't really smell it cause she gets used to it. But it's really unpleasant and it makes you a little upset and you just want to help. Try not to be too serious..but make in a bit funny so she won't feel to bad. Im sure she'll appreciate not smelling like a fish.
