  1. Yes

  2. Yes it is very safe to drive from Pune to Goa. The road is very safe as it is one way highway. If you want to avoid Katraj ghat near Pune then go via Katraj by-pass.

You are not experienced therefore take following precautions.

    1. Start early morning from Pune at about 5.30

    2. Take a break after every two hours at some good hotel for 20 minutes. Take something light snacks with tea or coffee.

    3. Drive  carefully. While changing the lane always indicate the change of lane by blinkers.

    4. Do not travel during night.

    5. Take a break either at Kolhapur or Balgam for night hault then proceed further.

    6. Taking a break is not possible then take another driver with you.

Best Season for Goa is Novemebr to January. If you want to enjoy mangoes then go in April - May, but it is too hot there.

There are number of good hotels. Accomodation in peak season is not possible at eleventh hour. Better to book it well in advance. Accomodation is also available in differetn temple like ShantaDurga, Ramnathi etc.

  3. Yes, it is safe enough. Travel by day and please be careful when you go through any villages along the way. Children and also older people have a habit of darting across the road. You don't want any problems.....

Any time of the year is good to go to Goa but the most pleasant time (climate wise) is between November to March.

Right now it is the onset of summer and it is quite humid in these days but you can still enjoy yourself.

Regards, decent hotels there are several or try out some place away from the coastline.....
