  1. It is better to purchase the unsalted or low sodium....  but as long as you don't feed it to him regularly you should be fine

  2. I wouldn't but if you do I would brush the salt off of them.

  3. try to limit it because of the sodium.

besides that he should be perfectly fine =)

    hope this helps!

  4. Yes, I think it's fine to offer him some special treats now and then.  It's not going to harm him in anyway.  I have 2 parrots and they love to get a cracker every now and then.

  5. I am a ird breeder of a few years, do not give him salt! I am telling you and sugar also messes them up...I would be glad to help you, but in any book it will tell you the same

  6. get unsalted ones then he can have it

  7. I have tried everything and my cockateil will eat anything and everything that I eat. I know all the things they say to keep away from them and I do. But my bird will eat meat, (chicken, pork chops, steaks, turkey, ground beef) he loves all veggies and some fruits. he will eat mashed potatoes and sweet potaotes. Loves cooked pasta, and cooked rice, I had a vet tell me that if I ate it and as long as he still ate his pellets and seed it was ok. Of course he eats off of my plate too.... He favorite food of all time is nuts, peanuts especially, and then comes biscuits.. Every vet visit they tell me he is healthy and gaining weight. I don't give him things just to give it to him, but if I am eatingsomething he will almost beg to have a piece of it... and he loves the chicken (not the crust) of Popeyes chicken.... Sorry ppl think this is wrong he is not getting his whole nutrition from these foods just as a treat...These are Things I have tried and they have worked for my 4 year old cockateil and I. He is never in his cage during the day, unless I leave the house and can't take him with me. If I travel he goes with me and never leaves my shoulder. He is my baby....

  8. I wouldn't give him crackers of any type. Try celery leaves instead.

  9. yes it is safe
